Original Artwork, in Acrylics & Oils.
‘Everyday Miracles’ stands as a grand testament to the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounds us daily. It urges us to pause and appreciate the marvels unfolding before our very eyes. It’s also a poignant reminder that miracles are not distant, fantastical occurrences. Instead, they’re intrinsic to the fabric of our existence, if only we take a moment to observe.
In our crafted world, the creatures have set aside their traditional animosities to bear witness to ‘The UpRising,’ a rare spectacle where Siamese Fighting Fish ascend from their aquatic realm, gracefully ascending in a jubilant display of life’s wonder before embarking on a journey into the unknown. The significance of this event is underscored by the fact that these fish, notorious for their solitary and combative nature, peacefully coalesce for this communal ritual.
Adding to the enchantment, both predators and prey assemble harmoniously, with the likes of Lynx, Lioness, and Fox, alongside Badger, Moose, Toucan, and Squirrel, casting aside their inherent differences to partake in this shared experience. Herein lies the true essence of everyday miracles – moments of unity and transcendence, where magic intertwines with reality, weaving new tales ripe for storytelling and mythmaking.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
