Secrets, as we know, wield profound influence. Whether borne by the bearer or unravelled by the seeker, their potency lies in their dissemination. For what purpose does a secret serve if consigned to oblivion?
Several nuances in this piece warrant acclaim. The intricate lace ruff adorning The Whisperer emerged from fortuitous experimentation, adding a touch of ethereal elegance. Furthermore, the aqua-toned backdrop juxtaposed against the vibrant red-orange locks accentuates their radiance.
‘The Whisperer’ also signifies a pivotal juncture in my artistic odyssey. It marked my divergence from traditional wildlife studies, symbolizing a departure from the comfort of familiarity towards uncharted creative territories. In late 2019, I sensed a stagnation in my artistic evolution, prompting a quest for renewed inspiration and innovation. Reflecting upon this transformative phase, it’s evident that embracing change was imperative for artistic growth and vitality.

For everything up to – and including – our ‘Signature Editions’, we use 210gsm Fotospeed Smooth; a versatile paper that offers exceptional contrast and detail. For the larger ‘Premium Editions’, we use Fotospeed’s 315gsm NST. Thanks to subtle textures similar to traditional etching papers, coupled to bright-white bases, both of these 100%-cotton, fine-art papers deliver revelatory, impactful images that will stand the test of time. Furthermore, we only ever use OEM inks that are rich in pigments & offer a consistent level of reproduction.
