In this beguiling artwork, a magnificent Sealion commands the scene. She’s gracefully navigating through an enchanting forest, illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight. As she glides towards us, her gaze fixates upon a tantalising balloon. Its ribbon has ensnared on a branch, beckoning to join her burgeoning collection. Yet, in her pursuit, she remains oblivious to the solitary balloon slipping away into the obscurity above – ‘The One That Got Away.’
Despite her efforts, the Sealion will find herself no richer in balloons than when she began her quest. It’s a poignant reminder of life’s transient nature and the inevitability of letting go… Even as we strive to grasp onto fleeting treasures. In the bustling cacophony of existence, we’re often burdened with the weight of possessions, relationships, and aspirations. And yet… We must accept that we can’t hold onto everything.
Life’s journey propels us forward, leaving behind the balloons we’ve relinquished along the way. Our Fine-Art Prints use archival papers in two weights. For the larger ‘Premium Editions’, we use Fotospeed’s 315gsm NST. Thanks to subtle textures similar to traditional etching papers, coupled to bright-white bases, both of these 100%-cotton, fine-art papers deliver revelatory, impactful images that will stand the test of time. Furthermore, we only ever use OEM inks that are rich in pigments & offer a consistent level of reproduction.
