Ah, the nostalgic delight of a Sherbet Fountain! That’s the joy of ‘Sparky Hated the Licorice…’ Can you recall the last time you indulged in one? Just recently, I reminisced about the joy of squeezing the tube, only to have the sherbet puff out and perhaps even induce a sneeze! And oh, the inevitable sogginess of the paper wrapper!
Do you remember how the licorice stick sometimes seemed to interrupt the sherbet experience? It seems this eccentric cat has reached the same conclusion, judging by the pile of discarded licorice sticks nearby!
And that snowy cloud of sherbet on its lips? Simply priceless! It’s those little details that never fail to bring a smile to our faces!
The seventies’ nostalgic charm, with its earthy hues and quirky pop culture, inspires a fresh artwork collection. Evoking subtle tones brings warmth and familiarity, transporting viewers to simpler times. Unusual confectionary delights, with quirky packaging and unique flavors, trigger childhood memories. Tacky yet endearing elements of seventies pop culture, from kitschy fashion to iconic TV shows, resonate with today’s audience seeking authenticity.
Capturing this bygone era, we celebrate nostalgia while offering a contemporary perspective on its enduring charm.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
