Welcome to the vibrant world of Rainbow Hare #3—a bold continuation of the journey that began with Rainbow Hare #2. With each iteration, I aimed to push the boundaries even further, accentuating the boldness and vibrancy that defines this series.
As with its predecessors, the process began with the application of striking white brushstrokes over a black base layer, creating a dramatic contrast that serves as the foundation for the artwork. Building upon this foundation, I introduced a glaze of transparent colours, allowing them to blend and flow into one another in a mesmerising display of chromatic harmony.
Once again, this venture proved to be a happy experiment that yielded delightful results, sparking a renewed burst of creativity and inspiring further exploration.
Noteworthy is the striking orange bloom adorning the top right-hand corner of Rainbow Hare #3. Achieved through meticulous dry-brushing over a red underpainting, it evokes the imagery of a radiant sunburst or perhaps a cloud of steamy breath on a crisp morning. This serendipitous addition adds depth and intrigue to the artwork, further enriching the viewer’s experience.
This enchanting piece becomes a focal point within any collection, sparking conversations with its inherent allure and unparalleled artistry.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
