Original Artwork, in Acrylics & Oils.
‘Pearls of Wisdom’ continues the saga of our intrepid adventurers, the Flamingo and Pug. They find themselves at a pivotal moment: standing at a crossroads reminiscent of a scene from their previous escapades in ‘Strangers in a Strange Land.’
One path winds its way towards a daunting mountain pass, while the other beckons with the allure of a sun-drenched ravine. It may seem that one choice is clearly right and the other wrong, but life’s complexities often belie such simplistic judgments. Who can predict what lies ahead when the journey reaches its end? Today’s sunshine may yield to tomorrow’s tempest, as the capricious whims of nature are known to shift with the wind.
Fortunately, wisps of wisdom in the form of ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ waft towards our adventurers on the gentle breeze, a gift from the ever-watchful Eagle Owl sentinel who stands guard over the valley. For those who are uncertain of their path, the sentinel dispatches runic messages carried by ethereal orbs of light, offering guidance and hope to those willing to heed their cryptic whispers.
And yes, these messages are indeed real, intricately woven into the scene with Anglo-Saxon runes, awaiting discovery and interpretation by those who embark on this enchanting journey.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
