Lolly vs Lulu! finds herself in quite the delightful predicament! Our fortunate Guinea Pig has just snagged a colossal lollipop at the Fun-Fair, making her day quite the adventure…
However, the sheer enormity of her confectionary prize leaves her pondering: “Lick or nibble? Lick or nibble?” Perplexed, she settles into her cherished bean-bag for a decisive moment of contemplation. Alas, her enthusiasm leads to an unintended consequence – a mighty flop onto the bean-bag causes its repair patch to burst open, sending a cascade of beads scattering.
Yet, it’s truly the oversized lolly that steals the show. In Lulu’s world, these sweet treats were of epic proportions, though in hindsight, the perspective of childhood tends to embellish such memories!
The seventies’ nostalgic charm, with its earthy hues and quirky pop culture, inspires a fresh artwork collection. Evoking subtle tones brings warmth and familiarity, transporting viewers to simpler times. Unusual confectionary delights, with quirky packaging and unique flavours, trigger childhood memories. Tacky yet endearing elements of seventies pop culture, from kitschy fashion to iconic TV shows, resonate with today’s audience seeking authenticity.
Capturing this bygone era, we celebrate nostalgia while offering a contemporary perspective on its enduring charm.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
