‘Leap of Faith’ beckons us to embrace the leap into uncertainty, to trust in the unseen and to believe in forces beyond our comprehension. It’s a testament to the courage it takes to step into the unknown, propelled by faith in something greater than ourselves.
Central to this narrative is the symbolic representation of Bumble-Bees, envisioned here as harbingers of the future, especially when clad in armour. As the scene unfolds, a striking Toucan emerges from the lush jungle, reminiscent of its appearance in ‘Keeper of the Keys.’ Alongside, a sprinting Cheetah gazes out from the canvas, perhaps pondering the mysteries encapsulated within.
A Ring-Tailed Lemur, a tribute to a cherished sculpture, clings tenaciously to a Zebra, while a spirited Daschund, adorned in tiger-stripes, joyfully follows the true star of the composition—the Queen Bee herself. The trail of golden pollen left in her wake serves as a magical beacon, guiding others to follow suit.
In this enigmatic tableau, the age-old question, ‘To Bee or Not to Bee?’ echoes, reminding us that every day presents opportunities for our own ‘Leap of Faith,’ no matter how small or significant they may seem.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
