Original Artwork, in Acrylics.
In selecting a custodian for the Kingdom’s most prized keys, the Keeper of the Keys emerges as an exemplary choice. Why? For he embodies trustworthiness and resplendent guardianship, of course! Adorned in a resplendent suit of chromed armour, the majestic Toucan exudes an aura of authority and grace. His plumage, a striking contrast against the metallic sheen, exudes an air of regal confidence.
Among the array of keys dangling tantalisingly from a hook on his armour, one holds particular significance. Look harder and it’s there, delicately poised at the tip of his weathered beak. Ann meticulously crafted its appearance, ensuring a weathered sheen, a testament to her meticulous attention to detail.
Accompanied by his vigilant Guard-Mouse, the intrepid duo maintains a watchful vigil from their lofty perch. There they sit, far above the clouds, anticipating threats before they materialise. Today, their keen eyes spot a would-be thief ascending with the aid of balloons, unaware of the formidable defence awaiting them.
As the tension mounts, the question hangs in the air: will the mouse’s pointed spear meet its mark with a resounding ‘POP,’ thwarting the intruder’s advances? Or will the outcome unfold differently, leaving us to ponder the whims of fate?
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
