“It Takes All Sorts” celebrates the sheer delight of meticulously grading one’s favorite sweets! Rufus, a discerning connoisseur, finds himself on the verge of needing a second bag of Allsorts just to reach a definitive verdict on the best ones!
Taking his task seriously, Rufus dons a proper lab coat and twirls his pencil with a thoughtful gleam in his eye. Upon closer inspection of the scorecard, one can discern the Yellow & White Allsort languishing at the bottom of the hierarchy (note the telltale bite marks!). Next in line? The Orange & White variant! The suspense builds as Rufus deliberates over his rating for this combination. As for me, I too oscillate in my preferences—some days, the bobbly pink & blue ones hardly tempt me, while on others, I simply can’t resist! Curious? Not at all!
The seventies’ nostalgic charm, with its earthy hues and quirky pop culture, inspires a fresh artwork collection. Evoking subtle tones brings warmth and familiarity, transporting viewers to simpler times. Unusual confectionary delights, with quirky packaging and unique flavours, trigger childhood memories. Tacky yet endearing elements of seventies pop culture, from kitschy fashion to iconic TV shows, resonate with today’s audience seeking authenticity.
Capturing this bygone era, we celebrate nostalgia while offering a contemporary perspective on its enduring charm.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
