Nestled in a forgotten valley on the outskirts of the Kingdom lies an extraordinary apple tree of unparalleled significance. Its ethereal fruits, weightless and wondrous, are exclusively reserved as a ‘Harvest For the King’. It’s a ceremony that’s steeped in tradition and splendour.

Immerse yourself in Harvest For the King.

Yet, gathering these celestial apples proves to be a challenge, for even the gentlest breeze threatens to whisk away the precious bounty. Fortunately, aid arrives in the form of a Royal Magpie, ever vigilant in its duty to assist in the harvest. With deft skill, the magpie delicately secures the elusive apples, mindful of their tendency to float away at the slightest touch.

Adding to the mystique of this enchanted realm is the curious anomaly of seasonality. While the valley and its tree display the golden hues of autumn, the apples are gleaming with the freshness of spring. They defy the conventional rhythms of nature. Such anomalies serve as a testament to the whimsical nature of this magical world, where the laws of gravity and time hold little sway.

Harvest For the King will add a stunning accent to your space.

The painting’s depth-of-field effect, particularly evident in the illusion of three-dimensionality achieved with the floating apples, lends a captivating sense of realism and immersion to the scene. Each meticulously rendered detail, from the intricacies of the King’s Stag’s saddle to the mossy tree roots inspired by real-life wonders on the Isle of Mull, contributes to the rich tapestry of imagery on show. It transports the viewer to a realm where magic and reality intertwine seamlessly.

Indulge in the timeless elegance and sophistication of Harvest For the King.

Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.

Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
