Original Artwork, in Acrylics & Oils.
Ascension, the final painting in the triptych, embodies the powerful transformation as the young woman fully accepts her inspiration, now visually manifested as vibrant blue wings.
Here, inspiration has taken flight. The monarch butterflies surrounding her become the foundation for grand blue wings, merging with her form as she embraces clarity. Meanwhile, the mouse drifts away, its purpose fulfilled, symbolising a cycle completed.
Rich in blue hues and serene energy, Ascension becomes a stunning accent, imbuing any room with grace and poetic charm. The image speaks to the peaceful beauty of knowing and living by one’s own vision. Ascension enhances a collection with a sense of self-assurance and fulfilment. For collectors, it is a celebration of the creative journey, capturing the beauty of fully realised inspiration in one breathtaking work. Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
