Original Artwork, in Acrylics & Oils.
Step into the enchanting realm of ‘Arrival,’ where daydreams unfurl their hidden magnificence. With its striking composition, ‘Arrival…’ evokes a dreamlike tranquility, igniting the imagination. Behold a young woman, adorned in a plain calico turban, elegantly wrapped in simple cotton, surrendering to reverie. Monarch butterflies flutter with graceful poise, forming a mesmeric cloud around her. Other butterfly varieties join, creating a tapestry of enchantment. A small mouse, donned in ornate armour, nestles within her turban, holding a butterfly-shaped balloon – emblematic of the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.
Perched delicately upon her shoulder rests a solitary, iridescent blue butterfly – a symbol of serendipity and inspiration. It embodies the essence of moments lost in daydreams, where unexpected breakthroughs emerge. “Flutterbies…” serves as the radiant centrepiece of an upcoming triptych – a visionary series unveiling intertwining narratives. With every stroke, I delve deeper into the tapestry of dreams, celebrating the magic of quiet contemplation and serendipitous discoveries.
Embrace the enchantment of “Flutterbies…” and be transported to a realm where daydreams take flight. Dive into a journey where the unexpected becomes a cherished companion, illuminating the power of introspection and the beauty found in the intangible.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
