Original Artwork, in Acrylics & Oils.
“A Great Leap Forward…” serves as a poignant reminder of the hurdles encountered when translating dreams into reality, particularly amidst procrastination – a trait I’m familiar with.
In the painting, a hare and a tiger collaborate to test a new box-kite and basket. While the hare may be the inventor, it’s the tiger who propels the idea into the sky. Butterflies flutter around his head, symbolizing distractions, while bubbles represent the universe’s enchanting influence, aiding us in surmounting obstacles.
By acknowledging the hurdles and setbacks inherent in manifesting dreams and embracing the enchantment that aids us in overcoming them, we can take significant strides towards achieving our aspirations, regardless of magnitude. This recognition empowers us to confront our own tendencies for self-sabotage and navigate towards our goals with renewed determination.
Indeed, “A Great Leap Forward…” encapsulates the journey of transformation, urging us to persevere through challenges and embrace the magic within us to soar to greater heights.
Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on boxed canvas to the refined oils on board I now employ. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece, sometimes even reshaping its interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
