The Raven does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song... This truth lays at the heart of Ravensong…

In this dazzling new work, Ann Richmond takes us deep inside the hidden world of the Otherwurlde, to a vaulted chamber where wisdom itself is prepared. At the heart of the scene stands the Raven, resplendent in embroidered cap and jewelled adornments, caught as it engraves messages of guidance upon fragile pearls.

Immerse yourself in Ravensong…

Around it, the shelves are stacked with orbs, tomes, and alchemical vessels — each a silent witness to the bird’s labour. To one side, a red-fezzed Mouse — the Raven’s trusted scribe — consults The Scribe’s Rule Book, ensuring each answer is rightly chosen before it is inscribed. Behind him, the guild shield confirms his authority, while fresh pearls await their purpose: some small and light, others heavy with the weight of greater truths.

The details reward careful scrutiny: the ornate chisel-tip cover on the Raven’s beak, the delicacy of the chains and pendants, the smoke from a hanging censer curling into the high dome above. Every mark in the painting hums with intent — part fable, part myth, part allegory.

Ravensong… will add a stunning accent to your space.

Ravensong continues the story begun in Pearls of Wisdom. There, an Eagle Owl sent engraved pearls down to lost travellers. Here, we are shown where those pearls begin — in the Raven’s hall, where questions of the heart are answered not with certainty, but with song.

This is a painting about guidance, resilience, and trust in the unseen. It reminds us that wisdom rarely arrives as a neat solution, but as a whisper — a spark, a song — that helps us take the next step on the path.

Ravensong... is a Collector’s Treasure.

Our Fine-Art Prints use archival papers in two weights. For everything up to – and including – our ‘Signature Editions’, we use 210gsm Fotospeed Smooth; a versatile paper that offers exceptional contrast and detail. For the larger ‘Premium Editions’, we use Fotospeed’s 315gsm NST. Thanks to subtle textures similar to traditional etching papers, coupled to bright-white bases, both of these 100%-cotton, fine-art papers deliver revelatory, impactful images that will stand the test of time. Furthermore, we only ever use OEM inks that are rich in pigments & offer a consistent level of reproduction.
