In quieter moments, when the great journeys of the Otherwurlde pause, there are those whose task is not to travel the road — but to define it. The Surveyor of Elsewhere is one such figure: a cartographer of the unseen, tasked with mapping paths that did not exist until they were found. The scrolls he carries are not records of where others have been, but of where they might yet go…
There is, too, something of the great British eccentric about him — that irrepressible spirit that sets off, unannounced, into the unknown with little more than conviction and a sense that the world will yield, eventually, to curiosity. I like that idea: trusting that anything is possible.
And what of the name of this heroic explorer? Ah… Many years ago, we produced a few sculptures that featured a hare named Rufus — so it’s not unreasonable to believe that this is, in fact, the same indefatigable explorer, returned once more to chart the edges of the possible.

Throughout my journey as an artist, I’ve tried various surfaces & colours… From acrylics on panels to the refined oils on canvas I’ve used throughout The Otherwurlde. Each combination wields a distinct influence over the final outcome. Canvas imbues a rustic charm, its weave adding texture. For intricate details, only oil on board suffices, offering subtle nuances and unmatched ability to blend.
Yet, my attention extends beyond the artwork itself; the frames for Original Artworks hold equal significance. Through experience, I’ve learnt how a well-selected frame can elevate a piece. In fact, frames can even reshape our interpretation. Every choice, from canvas to frame, is a deliberate step towards crafting not just art, but an experience.
